English is a germanic language.
It has a lot of latin influences, but so does german and the english language is largely based on germanic languages, hell most britons, or at least the englishmen, are descendends of the Anglo-Saxons from the germanic mainland.
English is easy as fuck if you already know how to speak a germanic language.
That can't be said about french etc., holy shit is french a retarded language, the pronounciation doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
