>how is mixed people threated in there?It's great being mixed in SA. I'm mixed (coloured mother, white father). I look white, so I have all the social and economic advantages of whiteness - my father is English, so I have a British passport and family back in the UK so I could leave but I like it here. It's a great place to live. What helps is that I have a brown mother and I speak two of the main black languages (isiXhosa and isiZulu) so the blacks respect me. They can't stand in front of me gossiping about me and they can't take me by surprise.
