Why do people pretend transgenderism is real?

ID:jckTV56H No.319675 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Enabling transgenderism is the single worst idea I can imagine, considering:

>Transgenderism is strongly correlated with mental illness.
Mental illness is far higher in the transgender community then in the general population, specifically disorders that make people seek attention. Some studies indicate BPD and narcissistic personality disorder to be up to 80 percent higher in tansgender communities than in the general population. (1)

>There is no persecution of transgender people
While mainstream media often claims that being transgender is dangerous (2) no more than 15 transgender people have been the victim of murder in the same calendar year

>There are no non-european cultures
While people will not stop saying this it's simply not true. Native Americans and the middle east both had 4 "genders" but they were just male, female, female in a male roll and male in a female roll with the latter 2 being hated by the rest of the culture(4). To say these are different genders is like saying that being a butch lesbian or a submissive gay person makes you a different gender, which is obviously horseshit.

So do people just go along with this because enabling delusion makes them feel better than everyone else? Is it because we've become a contest of who can be the most open minded? I can't understand why anyone could do any research into transgenderism and still support it.
