Socialism isn't government control, dumbass. Increasing taxes on the rich, who have all the cash in the world to spare to buy luxury mansions and private islands on the carribean, wouldn't harm the economy a single bit. Lowering taxes on the poor would give them greater spending power and better standards in life, thus benefiting local business and companies from an increase in consumers able to buy their products.
