>>3202673They realized that many popular crossover movies have the X-Men and other Fox-owned characters/team (as far as rights to make films out of it). Marvel tried to make their own X-Men with the Inhumans, but it's just shit. Face it, an Infinity Crusade/War trilogy or whatever is just not as good without the X-Men and the like. X-Men is a pillar in the comics-capeshit universe and it's not really being utilized by Fox as good as they should. Wolverine alone would make a series of profitable movies, especially when people know it's Marvel that's making it. That goes with all the other movies Fox fucked up; redo them all. They also get the rights back to DoFP, which they can use as a reboot mechanism if they make missteps with the direction of their cinematic universe, along with many X-Men arcs that is pretty much guaranteed a license to print money. Maybe they could bring back F4, even as some second bananas team that helps the Avengers and the X-Men from time to time; perhaps an Inhumans+F4 movie that rehabilitates both. Limitless potential if they get all the rights back.
In exchange, Disney becomes an unstoppable juggernaut (no pun intended). This must not be allowed. If anything, Disney needs to be crushed. They're getting "too big to fail", getting close to cornering the market on capeshit movies (just movies, for now; Marvel games are shit), too much power and control that it could crush would-be competition--it's gonna be capeshit forever, with no innovation and any other movie genres for decades, if they get too big to essentially dictate the direction of media.
