I've made threads about this a bunch of times.
Dragon Ball Z ruined everything that made Dragon Ball good, while ironically the first half of GT was better than anything in Z.

I'll never forgive Toriyama for what he did to Dragon Ball's cast in Z. He ruined Chichi, Yamcha and Krillin and forgot all about Launch.

KA is a pirate website that just rips off fansubbers (well, mostly just HorribleSubs which isn't really fansubbing) and hosts their (" fansubbers' ") videos on their website --Kinda reminds you of a certain other website doesn' it?--
The only reasons I'd support using KA is to fuck with crunchy and if you have trash tier internet, but even then there are other websites which provide a better quality stream.

Start with entry-level anime, and branch out from there based on anime you like.

Eva's a fucking deconstruction of common plot points and tropes present in mecha anime, it's not meant to be your first foray into anime because you do not get the full impact of Evangelion if you don't have prior knowledge of pre-Evangelion mech anime to begin with.

Start with good entry-level anime like Getter Robo, Trigun, Saint Seiya, Azumanga Daioh, Ranma 1/2 or Ghibli movies and slowly work from there to less entry-level anime based on stuff that's recommended as being similar to whatever you like.
