>>3232371Well simply put, those aren't generalizations that can be applied to all atheists. Your stereotypical atheist may be an elitist type who tries to force their beliefs onto others by claiming higher intelligence, but that cannot be said for all.
Personally I'm an atheist, and I see no celebration in any belief. We simply cannot know what is nor isn't real, religion is simply what we may pick up to give ourselves an explanation for our existence. Atheism is simply to look at this from a more practical standpoint, concluding that if we can't prove whether there is a god, then the best we can do is seek whatever purpose we make out of our short lives.
I do feel upset, almost constantly, under the belief that my life is ultimately meaningless. I find that we're merely a biological coincidence, and that sure isn't easy to accept. But if I spend my whole life sulking over how I'm gonna die, then I would be wasting that time and making it devoid of any purpose I could have given it.
I'm happy to answer anything else, this may not apply to all atheists considering my views are different than the atheists you describe, but I think this lays down the fundamentals.
