>>3243594yeah, i've been looking into what you two were talking about and it seems that the yugo languages have done away with the concept of what he's talking about. take for example the lord's prayer in slovenian, i see it's Oče naš, but in bulgarian it's Otče naš, because it comes from "otac/otec", while "oce" is the vocative. there's a small difference there, but i guess over time your language got rid of the "t" because of how minor it was.
apparently this sort of thing exists in english too,with words like
>midday >roommate>misspelland it's referring to the way the consonant sort of gets elongated. i assume you have no problem pronouncing those words, so you should have no problem pronouncing utca when you think about it. then again saying utca or ulca feels about the same to me, in terms of effort
