>>3242552You can swim alright but the visibility is much lower than The Med or The Red Sea. There's a huge fucking river there, so the water's usually murky. Not all the time though, I dove in 15 meters visibility max. The further you go from the delta the more clear it gets. The closer you get to the Bosfor the murkier it gets again. There's a subtle line an period of time there where you get clear waters. The clearest is on the Bulgarian shore at the end of summer or late winter and spring.
Don't know about the eastern shore but I hear Odessa has some nice waters.
