It depends on the region, it's not as warm as you'd think, we have lots of mountains.
North Greece gets snowed good each year, Athens is more of a 50/50

Snow is comfy af especially when roads are shut down and you don't have to go to work/school

It's -10 at the moment, some older snowfall still around, but no active snow. Winds are only about 11 kilometers tonight, which is nice. Despite being from this island the wind can still pwn my soul sometimes.

It was often horrible going to school during winter.

I was just asking, because there is some good food at the festival, including some stuff a lot of people aren't likely to have had elsewhere, such as puffin. Could be a could reason to drag someone along if they aren't as interested in just coming to sign. :)

Because it was great for storing food, and that was important in the north where there isn't really a lot of food and what you did get during the summer had to be stored, since there wouldn't be a lot in winter.
Today people do it mostly for tradition.

Dropping here some names just in case you want to know what to look for: fuet, salchichón, lomo embuchado, butifarra (not dried) and of course jamón (even though it's not strictly an embutido)

Pic is the thinly-sliced version of lomo embuchado. These are usually better than their chorizo counterparts so they're worth trying if you see them

Mechs make everything cooler, it's a law of the universe, same with sunglasses. This of course, makes Gurren Lagann the coolest thing in existence.
Mech combat would be really intersting, cause they'd obviously have guns and rockets, but the fact that they can punch shit, and the fact that drills might be legitimately good weaponry on them, would change a lot in terms of how you build the armour on them and potential for altering terrain to your advantage.

Idk if you're fucking with me or not, because that sounds like it's plausible but i heard nothing of it.

I guess all we can hope for is shield technology advancing so far that only physical force can get through.

Genuinely happened, wasn't exactly that entertaining or anything, but it did happen.

Kinetic bombardment is already an idea, ie. dropping metal rods from space at terminal velocity to cause huge fucking damage (mainly an idea due to not being forbidden by various treaties about weapons in space apparently), now while that uses gravity I have to imagine that it would still be easier to make simmilar ground based weaponry rather than use mechs. Especially given we can barely make robots walk properly, let alone run around fucking shit up. And then battery life just ruins everything even further, and let's not have people trying to destroy things running on fission reactors.
