Communism promises that everyone will be treated equally regardless of ability. However, people are not the same, so this is impossible. So they just treat everyone as though they were equally worthless, dragging the best down to the level of the worst (see: affirmative action, racial modifiers to college entry scores, privilege theory, etc).
Communism promises that everyone will be equally wealthy. Unfortunately, some people are good with money and some simply cannot be trusted with money. So they make everyone equally poor by punishing people who make money and rewarding those who fail.
Communism promises that everyone will have jobs and that their labour will be valued. This is usually a sticking point for unemployed artists who complain nobody buys their paintings. The problem is, under capitalism nobody says you can't make shitty paintings using your mentral blood, just that nobody *has* to pay for them. Under Communism either the state agrees to pay for them (making the state into the gatekeeper) or you will be reassigned to the coal mines making your complaints moot.
In all cases Communism is appealing to listless young people who see inequality and want to do something about it, but they are young, stupid idealistic idiots who don't realise that inequality exists because some people are fucking retarded and have nothing to offer society. The homeless crack addict down the street isn't a homeless crack addict because of capitalism, they're one because they're mentally ill and no amount of throwing money at the problem will help in even the slightest because if someone doesn't want to live in a home because they're insane, it doesn't matter how many houses you give them.
The truth is that under Communism those kinds of people were just sent to the gulags.
