I don't get the appeal of hiking alone probably cause pretty scenery doesn't generate any feelings too me.
Same reason I don't like museums and landmarks, I get the same feeling when I see them online or up close

Well I walked for 4 hours straight today
I like the nature, the loneliness (away from internet and people) and the feel of accomplishment.
Also, I can call it a hobby which most normies (4channerios ) accept as acceptable

I hike with a 45lbs metal frame backpack, and normally have to do 6 miles to get up to where its nice and cool and trees desu. So my calves and back are nice and stronk desu, so is my right arm.

It depends on your area desu, you should always research things about the area you hike before going, then give a try, learn some new stuff, and build experience gradually. I always carry more water than I think I will need, and a fire-starting kit, water purification tablets or a life-straw, and a basic med-kit desu

I do have 3 guns actually and a crossbow. But in my state you need a hunting license to hunt any game or fish, and the game wardens are real strict out here desu. I just don't like to hunt that much really so I don't get licenses. I have taken some rabbits and doves before without a license tho, shhhhh desu. I mostly just hike for the nature and trees and fresh mountain air, I listen to music to and just hang out in any spot I like.
