I feel like the only way I could ever express myself is through music via a launchpad esque set up, but I can't afford FL Studio, Ableton Live, a Launchpad, etc.

I have a(n) acoustic guitar and a bass guitar, but they really don't do it for me

is there a relatively cheap way to express myself in the way Lauchpad/Laptop based EDM artists do?

Record stuff with audacity or wavosaur and chop it up. Get free instrument samples,change the pitch and chop those up too

Not sure how far it would get you, but you might want to check out some freeware drum machines like Hydrogen. I only use it for drum beats, but I figure if you have the right samples, you could use it to make dance music of some kind.

you can just pirate it until you have the money to buy it, that's what i did with FL
