Did this person willingly leave or just somehow silently went ghost? You could try and think of people whom you think they'll contact and tell that third party person that if your sibling contacts them to call you because you love and care about them. If you use that as your reason, people will comply.

Family adviced me never to make contact with her. She’s apparently mentally unstable. Plus the fact that she’s a known liar wouldn’t help at all. I tried getting in contact with her once a few years ago and she ran. Which made me have to find her all over again

Well, have you investigated the area? Does she live in a different city? If so, go there and find out who his friends were growing up. Surely he would know someone who would have an idea of where he might be. Also, check your mom's facebook to see if she's a part of a church, that makes it easier, because maybe he was a part of it also, and go in on a Sunday and see if he goes in.

There's more angles you can take on this. But I don't know the age and affiliation patterns of the mother nor brother

The best way to reply to someone by the way is by clicking on the long list of number above their posts. "No. 3281130" for example. Clicking that gives a proper response to the person you're replying to.

Also, how geographically far did she "run" from where you all were together? And how far away did she "run" when you tried contacting her the first time? You need to assume that before you contacted her the first time, that is where her and your brother were living. If she was in Dallas for example when you first tried to contact her then moved to Reno, you would want to try finding your brother in the Dallas area first.

You should make contact with your brother's father if you've found him on facebook as well as your brother's other half brothers.

If you don't know how to narrow a facebook search for common names:
>go into google
>then type in the common names with the words facebook and the geographical location their in (could be the state, city, or county) like "John Smith facebook Jackson Wyoming"
>then press images on the google tabs to brows through the pictures until you see a picture of someone who looks like the person you're trying to find
It should give you all the facebook results from all people named John Smith in the area you typed in at the end.

That's what I do, then you just click the picture and it takes you directly to their facebook page or whatever media they're using. Try instagram too OP.

My mother doesn’t run far. She always stays in VA. just different cities in VA. I was told by one of her closest friends. My brothers in college. But she’d never tell me where. He may visit her. But it seems he doesn’t live with her.

But if he's going to college, then perhaps what OP should do is try typing his name and then write a college that is around the area he suspects his brother grew in.

My facebook is on strict private settings, but if you type in my name and the colleges I went to, a lot of stuff comes up on me. Not even facebook related.

I appreciate the luck.
My best option is to send a friend to my mothers house as a disgusted ups delivery driver and just bluntly ask my bother to sign for a fake package. Sounds cheesy. But that’s how desperate I am.
