I would say that if content is good in and of itself, it'll still be good regardless of who's delivering, but intent and context are also important. But now that I think about it, if I heard Richard Spencer or whoever making the kind of jokes I do with my black friend (he says nigger more than actual racists probably do) behind closed doors, it'd probably come off as distasteful.
If you believe that humor is way of (re)taking power over something, then I guess racist jokes are a way for normal people to laugh at the small grain of truth in stereotypes or whatever, while also laughing at the idiots who are serious about that shit.
