I failed an introductory physics course despite being able to write simple physics simulators

I feel like I've been cheated out of everything school related I do, I don't feel like a dumbass but I obviously am one since I'm always the last to leave exams, have a 1.97 GPA, just failed a class literal fucking high schoolers take, I can't do anything right. Worst part is I've been sort of lying to my dad about how this semester has been going, it really feels horrible.

I swear I learned how to do spring related problems 3 different times but it never stuck, same with everything else in that class, I felt lost 90% of the time. Funny thing is that I plan to continue working on my fucking physics simulator over the break, somehow I can do that but not do the class. I also did a shitload of extra credit work, and somehow NONE of it was retained, my brain just doesn't work

I only had 4 classes this semester and I might get all D's, and I don't even work. I just feel so impotent and pathetic and I'll never get better

Maybe you have a learning disability and you learn different then others? Youve already failed your class and you think your a failure, so whats the worst that can happen.
If anything then it could be a positive. You can find out you learn a certain way and your university will be obliged to offer that way to you ie give you extra time on tests, allow you to voice record in classz even could allow open book.

Learning in the real world and learning in school are two different things. If you were truly stupid you wouldn't be able to drive or pay your bill or hold a job, etc.

Let me ask you this, can a monkey learn how to draw just from reading a book? No hr can't because he can't read. But if I show him how to draw, then he'll learn it.
