Your expected life span if you live in Russia your whole life is literally 10 years lower than any western European nation. You are controlled by a modern "democratic" dictatorship that is as power hungry as some in the US, and still have the worst economy for a large nation per capita in Europe, and in much of the world. Relevance aside, I would rather live in any other nation in Europe besides Russia or Belarus, and I'm sure many others would also rather live elsewhere as well. The state of your country does, in fact, effect your quality of life if you aren't in the top 1%.
