Yes, it will never be 'the same', but if we remember and remind others of our roots here we may just be able to create something similar. It starts slow, small, just like the first time, but if we aren't the change we want to see in the world who will be?
There are still little bastions of hope scattered around the net. Its not dead, but its dying fast and needs our help. Society needs our help. Our youth need our help. The world is made of language, words, and if we know the right words to speak and the right time to speak them we can create just about anything...
All I'm saying is, we need to be patient with these people, even feigning empathy and respect if necessary, 4chan is beyond saving but there are plenty of other avenues where people are actually willing to listen, I think many people subconsciously realize how shit this all is and would jump at the chance to be a part of something more wholesome and immersive but have noone to articulate the thoughts and put them in their simple little heads to start that cascade. And at the least that would amount to damage control that I feel we are all obligated to perform. You get out what you put in, blah blah.
Idunno, maybe it really is hopeless and all downhill from here but I've never been one to give up that easily. I've already had some success with people, gotten them to see this for what it really is and rethink their conduct, I guess I'll just keep at it till I die because why the fuck not, right? I'd highly encourage everyone else to do their part as well. "They" do a good job of making things seem far more depraved and hopeless than they really are, keeps us numb and afraid, I refuse to subscribe to that reality.
