interesting story how they got out of there actually, usually the rule is you go to the neighouring country, but in pakistan specifically kashmir, one side is a no mans land and the other is the mountains, then throught the mountains is afgahnistan lol, hardly an upgrade from the pakistani taliban.

The crime rate in all poor areas is bad, which are generally the areas that pakistani immigrants move to so you'd expect the rate to be higher anyway. Language barriers could also be a problem for employment, which would lead to more crime. I can't speak for cultural difference regarding crime though

there area where my family was called gilgit.

seems like a trend across many companies, ny friend in siemens says the same, they need more control/microelc etc.

and you say talented in informatics, i think that may actually come in handy for places like GCHQ or the german equivalent.

personally, i got involved in digital systems integration and embedded systems, did my project over in control systems. thats how i somehow landed the job here lol.

i'd say go for it, but i'd personally recommend contributing some time towards relevant disciplines to keep you up to speed on it, all depending on which kinda job you want ofcourse.

honestly i know this might sound quite rich coming from someone like me, but if it was my choice i would deport those people.

people who refuse to integrate and contribute, do not deserve to live in a country as nice as this, benefits etc should be reserved for the native population, and to qualify for that should require being born here and being a 2nd generation.

i live in the city centre, up north in a city i wont disclose. but it has a sizeable Pakistani community.

my colleagues are relatively lax in terms of their beliefs, they're alright.

the pakistani areas i know are fairly poor and also have small romanian and polish communities, theres a fairly high crime rate in those areas, but thankfully no terror attacks etc.

mainly petty theft, burglary etc. its horrible, but i believe the police force will be able to sort it eventually, i trust the police.

and yes, many are chavs and hang around in gangs, mainly the young ones, 14-16 yrs
