There's nothing wrong with sourcing your meat from a trusted local farm that limits the hormones and preservatives they add to their meat (or even go organic), and then you store the meat in a freezer for that sweet sweet protein instead of going to your local grocery store and buying up plastic wrapped meat that was made at a factory McFarm while you watch your children grow mantits from eating it.

Are you in a damp part of the country? That'll fuck everything up. Clean your whole fridge, every surface. If you have mold spores in there you're going to lose a lot of shelf life on your foods. Other than that you can keep meats frozen for upwards of a year if you do it right, and dried goods like beans and rice last longer. Your fridge should be for thawing out meats, and for holding about a weeks worth of perishable food at any given time. Other than that, you should keep everything in the freezer or dried.

Might have something to do with how millions of people where starved to death by the commies or maybe a hold over from when everyone was still farmers making and storing food to make it through the winter.

It's not two styles, it's either you are smart enough to utilize a freezer for things that can keep longer, or you aren't. Nothing wrong with getting veggies, fruit and some butchered meat nice and fresh, just know how to preserve it if you want your trips to last.

A freezer is fine, I'm not saying otherwise. Sometimes you get a big cut of meat and you need to save parts of it. Sometimes it's nice to have some frozen veggies all ready to go.

But the problem is what the fuck are you buying on these mega loads? What lasts that long? Crackers?
Breakfast is bread and fruit.
Lunch is cheese and charcuterie
Dinner is meat and fresh vegetables.
All things that go bad within a few days.

people dont follow guidelines for shit, they eat tones of processed carbs and saturated fat, that is not reccomeded by anyone.
Most people eat processed food, which is bad, still doesnt mean meat is completely fine for mass consumption.

They are an issue if you eat nothing but carbs, yes. The point I am trying to make is if you don't know how to cook (or are rich and can afford a chef/fine dining) you are going to probably eat crappy. Learning to cook is literally a health issue.
