>>3502471August was less uneventful, save for the steady increase in frogposter incursions from /r9k/ and /qa/: the cirnoposters' vacation from the former had literally cut the population in half leading it less equipped to deal with the threat of shitposters from kekistan, but they were of secondary concern to maintaining the board's identity. Waifufags became factionalized, some jealous of Cirno. Important factions included Maguminposters from [s4s], Sataniaposters from /a/ (who were likewise here around day 1), and the Karenposters as well as Waifus with singular prominent representitives like that duck-faced girl from the one FoTM anime at the time with the big head whose name escapes me but saw herself as the main rival of Cirno for Queen of /bant/, Kotori headed by /ck/, and Kagari from Rewrite. The last would become important in the following months.
More pressing was /bant/'s presence on the .io scene; /bant/ had inherited /pol/'s fondness for games such as RISK, RPGs, and others, and likewise shared a sense of community similar to old /b/'s during this period. In a characteristic that would now seem odd, it attempted to make a Kreigsmarine Iron Cross flag near the centre of
Pixelcanvas.io's board in order to trigger the commies of /leftpol/ in retaliation of their attempts at taking over the site. The results were immediate as butthurt SJWs called for moderator action to remove the flag, but as it had no Swatstikas it was technically legal and so they had to resort to their own pathetic raids in order to try and break it: these were of little success for the time. What the flag did manage to anger was the group known as SDLG as it intruded on their territory in its ever-expansion, leading to a turf-war between /bant/, her /pol/ and /b/ allies, and the Mexicans who worshiped some Chinese construction vehicle company or something.
This would accumulate into the Mootening, when one /bant/erer unleased a script onto the board which... well, see yourself.
