>>3576904you know, these kinds of redundant lines in kpop song lyrics like what i have in pic related always made me like them more than i do western lyrics. it just makes it feel more genuine and real for me, because it's a line that serves no purpose at first glance, it only serves to enhance and emphasize the previous line.
another example of this i can think of off the top of my head is t-ara sugar free which is a song that has surprisingly good lyrics. here's a couple of examples to see what i mean

>in just one moment you made me pitiful>that's what you did!these kinds of lines always got to me. it's just an extra line thrown in there but it makes the impact of the previous line much stronger and more emotional and it makes it feel like an actual human story, as opposed to some shit tier purple prose. funny how one sentence has the power to do that.
