I think it will look like a time of steady decline but overall wealth until some rising industrial country starts taking advantage of the West. Maybe we'll go all militaristic like in the dark ages (before the medieval period but after the classical age) and history will simply repeat itself in a more advanced way. In other words, that time before space mining when the West experienced an economic slump, possibly leading into its subservience to another world power. Some developments of note will be even more accessible communication (the internet, cellular data), musical revolution (sometimes simplification, as large crowds tend to support a star with simple melodies in his songs), political infighting, and probably a lot of other things I'm not naming.
