I do share OP's conviction in that liking someone based off a trait of the melanin in their skin should not be considered racist, but not to the point that I will only consider that one trait for a dating pool I work with. I'm saying that it's yet another thing to add onto with physical traits like height, weight, shape, and complexion when considering dating partners.
