Russians, explain to me how you are not killing yourself out of sheer depression?

I just came back home from a work conference in Moscow, and nobody smiled or looked happy. Everyone looked like they were about to jump from a bridge.

That, together with the weather, made me contemplating suicide.

How do you manage?
