This became our state gun, because all above stated gunslingers, outlaws, lawmen, and US Army soldiers in these events had a .45 Colt Single Action. The absolute most famous of these was Frederick Russel Burnham's Colt .45 which he ended up taking with him to British Africa and used it to kill several ppl in the Pleasant Valley Wars.
