obviously highly subjective, although there are some things a lot of people are just used to like shitty low quality teabags full of literal tasteless dust and then they go and dump a fuckload of sweetener and whatever into it and think that's a good cup of tea when it's really just a cup of cream and sugar with a slight tea-like flavor
same thing applies to coffee, perhaps even moreso because the average person can't even imagine drinking straight black coffee, but that's really the best way to enjoy "good" coffee
unfortunately places like starbucks have redefined coffee to mean some insanely elaborate latte concoction meticulously decorated by an art school hipster barista
