>>3653105The Absurd is the confliction between our need to find meaning and the universe's apparent lack of it. The universe is "absurd" and lacks reason and meaning, but humans consistently, and fruitlessly, search for meaning. However, absurdism insists on the importance of the acceptance of this confliction and to rebel against it by enjoying and accepting life for what it is.
Nihilism states that the universe has no meaning or value, and it is pointless to search for one.
Existentialism states that there is no apparent objective meaning, however one can construct a subjective meaning for themselves because of our free will.
All three of these philosophies are similar in certain ways and can be matched together.
Often times, somebody will realize the Absurd and will then move on to either nihilism - "Whatever, there is no meaning and I will come to terms with that",
or they will move on to existentialism - "I'll just make a subjective meaning for myself out of what life has to offer"
