Can somebody explain to me the idiom "take a shit" why is there "take"? Because take means to get or receive something from something.
I can't understand the full meaning of these words.

"Take a shit" refers to the act of shitting.
Compare this to "take shit" or "take a turd", which would refer to the thing that actually falls out of your ass.
It's similar to "take a break" or "take 5 minutes to think about it". A break is not a physical thing which can be "taken" someplace or taken from someone. It's a different usage of the word "take" to mean "perform / do / execute / experience" in a somewhat abstract way.

There's no separate word for doing hobby. How would it actually look like? You can have a hobby like if I have a lifting hobby I would say I lift if somebody asks and this person can ask me are you a professional? I'd say nah it's my hobby. How would I say this in one verb?
