The techniques they used probably were not the same, just similar, and developed over thousands of years because they worked the best.
Right now, there is an island in the middle of bum fuck nowhere. On this island lives a bunch of savages who've never left this island and never had any contact with the outside world. Ever.
These savages are thousands of years behind the rest of the world, but inventing things that are similar or identical to things invented in other parts of the world. They've invented many tools like knives, hammers, spears and even bow and arrows. They've also learned or invented many concepts too, like agriculture, or learning that eating raw meat is bad (they invented cooking!). They've learned to build houses, make clothing and more.
These people have never once met a single person who didn't live on this island, for thousands and thousands of years.
It's not aliens, it's just common fucking sense which you're lacking because you never leave your god damn computer for enough time to develop any.
