This has not happened yet, but the possibility remains that it could happen in the future if trends were to follow that direction. The idea is that as soon as one website or ISP starts charging for access, then others would follow out of the principle of Capitalist competition, which would limit access to some of these resources for students as well as regular people (though free sources will still remain, there will just be the possibility of being much less of them)
