Is there some kind of feeling of brotherhood between people from countries whose language is English? Like for example, a canadian or an american, if they would find out that there has been a terrible terrorist attack in Australia and in Norway the same day, would you feel the same way?

Or just apart from the fact that you have the same native language and it's easier to comunicate with each other, there's nothing else?
