Koreans look at plastic surgery as something they NEED to get in order to succeed in life. Even the younger men of today think they need it.
Another fucked up thing about Korea is that when you apply for a job you have to attach a photo and that photo is what can get you an interview or ignored. mid-high to high tier jobs will not hire "ugly" people, especially if you're a female who doesn't have that typically look.
