Excluding Dragon Ball/Inuyasha/Saint Seiya which aired on TV, I think Wolf's Rain was the first anime I went out of my way to search online and watch.

I think the first one I went out of my way to watch online was Future Diary.

31's a legendary classic. The haunting music really got me as a kid and it's gripping becuase it's quite dark, especially compared to the other crap that was airing when these were on.
