>>3854728is this any justification for supporting an industry responsible for a product which is meant to be used to kill? that is literally the intention. there are few products that are intended to be used as murder weapons, or rather, "self defense". a steak knife isn't designed with this in mind, for example. the gun is designed to make it EASY, and quick. it works, too.
>>3854741if everyone has the ability to kill each other, there is higher chance that someone will be killed... "if you attempt to kill me, i'll kill you"? you realise how backward this solution is, if the problem is people killing each other? that is how you'd like it? you don't even consider treating the problem at its core? why does someone attempt to kill you in the first place? does that even cross your mind? or is it just kill kill kill?
>>3854714not only are you putting yourself at risk of being shot by arming yourself so heavily (via many routes), but you're putting the assailant in unnecessary danger. there are NON LETHAL ways to protect yourself as well.
more and more, i find that people go to ridiculous lengths to justify owning a gun. you might think it is "cool", or "badass", but in reality, you're just handing out $ to an industry that profits on your fear, and ultimately, death.
