You know how when a camera records it only shows a 2d image?
You put 2 cameras next to eachother and the area where their field of view overlaps allows us to see in pseudo 3d.
If we saw in actual 3d we would be able to see through walls and stuff, and be able to put two 3d eyes together to get an idea of 4d.
Does that make sense?
