Unless you're going to see the Museum of Science & Industry nothing here is worthwhile, especially not that awful modern art piece they call "The Bean." Believe me, I live here and I hate it. Also you're guaranteed to die in Chicago if you step into the wrong street so be wary of that. It all depends on what you're into though, different parts of the USA are better for people who are into different things. The states Colorado and Wyoming, for instance, are nice states to hike and spend time out in nature with. If that's not your cup of tea though... I can't really help out, sorry Brit
