>>3918919The west's wildest cowboys (this term equates outlaws, cattlemen refers to legal cattle herders in the old west) were actually in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Oklahoma was calm easy nearly bloodless lands in the old west compared with those other states. Oklahoma was cattlemen land, not "cowboy" as the term was used back then (1850-1917).
The Mountain states and Alaska are the wildest states in the union even today, hundreds of thousands of sq miles of literally untouched lands, best gun laws in the nation, most metallic mineral resources in the USA, most mountains on the north American continent, very high urban population, best housing values in the nation, most secretive DoD military bases in the world including more than 2,000 active nuclear weapons on stand by and in storage in these states, and most diverse weather patterns in North America. Gosh I love the mountain states, west TX is honorary mountain state approved as well (west OK is too low elevation at only 4,973ft [1516m] imo sorry)
