>>3923034the ignorant, blissful or not, are free of responsibility somewhat because they do not know what they don't know. But once someone begins to be informed, even just reaching the "know what you dont know" stage, they are left with a choice. This could be receding back into ignorance, a stupid choice but only loosely complicit, they could continue their journey and embrace something like nihilism and know how shit life is but choose not to care/do anything about it in favor of material pleasures, a choice very complicit with "evil", or they could improve themselves and impact the world positively.
Nobody is saying sacrifice everything you are to stop things you cant possibly stop. And not even the greatest men expect you to utilize all of your power to change the world for the better. But 99.999% of people dont even come close to putting in enough effort to suggest they arent complicit with the state of things. I mean still enjoy earthly pleasures, life can be wonderful, but if you know how bad things really are, and if you know what you are capable, you have a responsibility.
existentialists, edgy teenagers, please please please, do not accept nihilism as the end of your path.
