Mentorship was an important part of men's life up until the late 20th century, when it suddenly got crippled by all of this politically correct emasculation. The Jews did it, the Romans did it, the Japanese did it, the Germanic people did it, so on, so forth. You may think, "Oh, he's just telling me to be someone else, get off it dude", but there's a lot you can learn just by watching, repeating, correcting, improving, and repeating. Eventually you begin to develop your own style. Think about artists and how they learned, and you'll see that I'm not talking bull.
Also, if you know anyone that you think is really classy, don't be intimidated by them. Ask if you can hang with them sometimes. You can learn some interesting things about them just by watching their mannerisms. Whatever you do though, never pretend to be someone that you're not, never pretend to know something that you don't, and always uphold your integrity.
