I understand not liking anime, but I still enjoy some anime. Imagine, if you can, that anime is simply a medium for telling a story. Visually, it is animated illustration originating from Japan, or at least, in the vein of Japanese artistic style. Is it that you don't like the art? Or the culture? Or is there something regarding the plot...? Help me understand why it is so black and white. I like some anime, and I do not like others. Did you ever just enjoy media without weird, meme-esque bias?

100% serious here. Please respond genuinely... Part of me feels like it is just an inside joke that I don't understand.
