Why exactly did you shit blood. If it only happened once or twice, and you get a free blood test at the doc and you are clear of any terminal illness you can join. I only know one guy who was air force and got medically discharged from the military because he found out he had irritable bowel syndrome

i got diagnosed with crohns disease (although i feel like my dumb doc misdiagnosed me, i think i have ulcerative colitis instead) but either way they disqualify you for that. its not even bad just sometimes i shit blood, im a normal, healthy human bean in every other way

That's difficult. Well if it is a long term illness that you get diagnosed with the military will likely not take you, unless you can by some miracle get a medical exemption, you have to petition for a medical exemption and prove your illness will not effect your function in a military environment. Otherwise, civilian contractors for the US military work in the military, but do not need to meet the general physical and bodily requirements of the military, I'd look into that as well. Good luck

No actually the guy I knew got "medically discharged" he gets a government paycheck for the rest of his life and amazing benefits because he got the illness 4 years into his service with the air force.

That's true, but it is really hard to get in with a long term diagnosis, like I said you can with a medical exemption, but you have to jump through a lot of bureaucratic hoops, that you would be serving with them already knowing of your illness. The best alternative is non-combat logistic military contractors under military indoctrination. Having a degree helps you immensely to become a contractor.

I haven't joined yet, I took the ASVAB out of high school to join the Navy and got a 194 combined raw score (42 percentile) (high enough to open non-grunt related positions, but would still start as a lower enlisted grunt). I was told how much more better off you are as an officer, so I decided to put off joining and do some college first. I have 38 college credits right now already finished and need a bachelor's to become an officer after college, my physical fitness standards are average as is my BMI. My sister is currently and O3 Army (military psychologist), grandfather was E5 Air force (minute man in the late 60s), grand uncle was O4 USMC (combat infantry officer in Vietnam), and my friend who was discharged was E4 Air Force (was a military photographer and film grunt). I might join after next semester when I have my AS, I don't know if I want to push my luck with potential debt for another 2 years in college, I can accept being an NCO in 3 years with an AS, then finishing my degree while in the military, or just becoming a Warrant officer with the Navy.

Heh, it took me 2 years to figure out what I wanted to be in life, and even now I still have doubts. NEET for 2 fucking years, I had the all the chances in the world to join the navy but just put it aside. I feel i would be to old when I get out and would've missed almost half of my 20's free in the civ world.
Fuck, I wish my dream of taking my motorcycle out to travel around the states, listening to music and shit, would come true. Maybe one day.
