>>3989510I bring a message of great urgency, from a follower of great intellect. There is a {{{Gnome}}} stronghold UNDERNEATH UC Santa Barbara:
Finally a safe place to make my confession.
I have always been sensitive to sound. From the step of an ant through the grass, to the quick beating of a hummingbird's heart, I could hear the simplest of sounds.
I can hear them speaking.
Their language is unusual, rather comical, even. They speak almost entirely in syllables that sound like an older Canadian gentleman trying to explain an old story. You know " de bo dodle de bo do Doe do".
Often I hear their artisans crafting their wears, ironically, big and tall merchandise. I imagine they think the best way to mask their presence is to hide their income under something that would seem untraceable to their small stature.
Most of what I hear is impossible to decipher. But one day, I heard something that shook me to the core of my bone.
They were practicing English. Not just speaking sporadically, either. They were practicing giving lectures.
This was two years ago. I fear it may already be too late. The gnomes may have infiltrated our faculty. There was one practicing physics lectures (basic mechanics if I recognized it correctly) and another seemed to be ranting and raving about gender structures.
Thanks for the opportunity to share my story.
