It is snowing like crazy over here. Haven't seen it like this since I was a child...

I am getting a little scared tBh. Haven't seen snowflakes this big and so many in my life.

I once got Hail but I don't live in western saudi arabia.

Here in Riyadh, there is barely any clouds and the sun is scorching hot whereas in winter the wind is cold and the sun isn't very bright. Humidity is always extremely low.

I like the low humidity, really don't have much of it here either. Well, that's wrong, we do have humidity but it doesn't feel like we do because of the dew point.

However, the scorching hot sun would make me its bitch. Props to you for dealing with that!

Hopefully you can find some snow to wallow in at some point. I find snow to be much more fun than sand, simply because I am a massive vagina about getting sand in my stuff.

But sometimes it rains during sandstorms and everything becomes covered in mud. Truly the epitome of shitty weather.

I like it in the sense that it's beautiful and so but it sucks that it's going to get colder.

The scared part was because of what I've read of the coming mini ice age and fear the implications of this and because I've got relatives that are a little old or sick and colder weather and colder climate is bad for them. Snow in places where it rarely happens confirms a little my suspicions of that being true.

Same here. I live in the coast, in a typical "Sun Sea and Sand" location and it's weird for it to snow here.
Old people come to live here precisely because it is more temperate here than in the Meseta. It must suck to live in inland Spain.

Well depending on the season but there hasn't been one since quite some time now. Most people either stay in their cars or inside. Umbrellas are useless in a sandstorm because the sand is carried by the wind, it doesn't fall like rain.

Easy to say for you.

In Portugal we build houses to shelter us from hot summers, but we keep forgetting the cold winters, so its insanely hard to keep the heat from escaping unless you spend thousands of Euros on constant heating, so its almost as cold indoors as outdoors, i cant even play PC because the hand on the mouse starts hurting from the chilling cold in the fucking room.
I cant wash my hands because the water is insanely freezing, i cant sit on the toilet because it feels like siting in an ice cube.
Its only comfy in bed.

I lived in Czech Republic without any form of electric warm. I live in northern spain withouth any form of electric warm. Grab extra sheets, get your assault uniform on as I do and it won't be that bad. Hot drinks/alcohol will moderately help. Get some beggar gloves without fingers so you can use pc are good to go. I'm currently in Madeira but i was talking about my experince in Bragança, where i was born and raised, its 50km away from Verin, 100 from Zamora and 200 from Leon.
During january it always dropped bellow 0 at night and morning.

And sure, warm drinks, gloves and extra sheets help but goddamn it, i doesnt feel comfy if you have to walk around indoors like if i was outdoors.
Well at least it doesn't rain often.
