like most/all boards on 4chan they to some degree purport to take any given argument on its own merits and not be all about rep and upvotes and other trappings of their favorite whipping boy leddit, but in reality everything on 4chan is filtered through the lens of the "currently trending hivemind memes / opinions" and summarily dismissed via greentext if it doesn't fit the accepted narrative.
I think in general though, despite the fact I don't think they are "inherently wrong about everything/evil/nazis" /pol/ are best described as the classic "useful idiots" in the political jargon meaning of the term:
