The 2016 season was pretty trash beyond the first few episodes. But funny enough it seemed to me halfway through they realized it was trash and started making fun of themselves. There was this entire drawn out monologue at the end where they talked about how shit isn't funny just because you're being ironic and I'm pretty sure it was meant as an insult towards the entire season itself

Sure.
I am not a gamer by any stretch but I had to play at least for a few hours before putting it back down.
My last session lasted about 7 or 8 hours of nonstop gaming. It's really great and I will definitely get the DLCs

I am a huge fan, so it didn't matter much to me. I think I was a day one pre-order guy too.

That said, I can see why somebody would not want to pay 60 bucks for it.
