Why do humans totally ignore the fact that are stuck to a ball somewhere in the nowhere and there exists vastness of vastness of empty space and planets?

Why do humans ignore that they are literally the universe awoken. It is like matter awoken. We are an alien species and everything is organic. Artificial things are not different from organic things.

Why do humans ignore that nobody is really alive? Right? We are just matter right. Just machines. Nobody is alive. We are just fireworks. Chain reactions. Humans are no different from their surroundings, they just like to pretend otherwise.

I think about this all the time. I don't feel like a person anymore. I just feel like matter. I feel like a machine. Feels pretty good to be honest. Feels pretty damn good to not believe in illusions anymore. I am just the present moment most of the time. Just enjoying the fireworks.

It's not all that complicated. Take things one step at a time, and understanding will come to you. It helps if you're familiar with physics, biology, and chemistry. Don't go overboard in any one area, but at least become familiarized with basic concepts. Don't think in abstracts. Just take each input, and formulate an output. One step at a time, like a you would tackle scripting or software programming. Everything makes sense, because otherwise, it we wouldn't be able to ponder it. Questions without answers might not be worth asking.

How many days of the year does the average person think about the vastness of space? We ignore it to the best of our ability because it feels weird thinking about it to most people.

Sure the "conscious" aspect. Something we use to delude ourselves that we are somehow different from other physical things. How do you even define what a conscious machine is? Nobody can define it because nobody knows exactly what it is.

FUCKING AGAIN. Another fucking trap messages me on Discord again. I swear to God I have met only one (1) real girl through Discord. I'm sure there are more I know, but they're smart enough to keep their gender hidden. I don't even want to get with a girl through Discord, at this point I'm just upset that there are so many fucking trannies on Discord, and I just so happen to attract so many. This one was cute even, I would have been fooled if my guard wasn't up from past experiences. The trap was chill tho, told it to me straight, had some nice hobbies as well. You are right, but we are talking about the average human here, who doesn't have the intelligence to care, and therefore ignores how blessed they are to exist.

We are not alien [in the context of our planet.]
But we're not randomly generated. DNA mutations are random, but evolution and natural selection are not. We are the way we are because we managed to survive until this point.
We were only randomly generated at the start.

The difference between us and the average animal is that we are free thinkers while animals think only for their survival. Most animals do not have an episodic memory like us, for example.
Of course, we don't know what consciousness is, but it is not a delusion that we are different to other physical things in the sense that we are free thinkers. Our progress in chemistry, biology and physics really shows this.

And why should I care? The vast space does not care about me. It does not influence my life in any way. When was the last time I had tea with Pluto? Oh wait, that never happened because Pluto is so far away from me that it might as well not even exist. Answers that look much like this one can be given to your other question as well. I'm chain reactions, dopamine and shit. My heart is an electrical pump. Yeah, ok. So what am I supposed to do about it? Can I change that? No. Do I even have a reason to? That's debatable but I'd say not really.

we're alive in the sense there is a directed effort to maintain non-equilibrium energy dynamical system, and to propagate non-equilibrium dynamic system through offspring intentionally created by by the system. Being alive is defying what nature usually wants for a while, then succumbing to how nature likes things: in equilibrium.

If we follow an energy based view of life, then I think it's quite easy to see that we're alive.
