>>4137393Blood definitely has good buffers in it, but the sheer amount of acid in your stomach is enough to overpower it by a lot, no matter how strong of a buffer it may be. Your stomach will just make more acid to compensate for the minuscule pH change. Besides, blood buffers are not really meant to buffer huge amounts of pH change, usually only needing to regulate pH from the effects of weak acids like carbonic acid, not the HCl that is in your stomach.
