>>4140189It's like a form of meditation and psychoanalysis. Truth be told, I'm not entirely sure if I did it right. But here are the steps I followed.
1. Clear the mind
2. Wait for an image to bubble to the surface
3. Make a record of that image. Jung called this an "artifact". It could be anything, from a painting to a drawing to a few sentences (my previous post)
4. Re-immerse yourself in the world
5. Analyze the record of the image for symbolic content.
Truthfully, though Jung envisioned active imagination as a therapeutic technique, I'm trying to rid myself of my creative slump.
