I'm in a extremely rural area of Germany (Rheinland Pfalz bordering Luxemburg) and the youth here are seemingly just as bad as there, I think largely thanks to everyone idealizing the USA and TV and media here being the same exact stuff. With the elders it is very conservative here, simpleminded but hardworkers, but really unaware of most things. Maybe it's better in another part of Germany but I doubt it.
